Governor’s Office Launches New Jobs Web Site

Assemblyman touts program for job seekers

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C – Batavia) today is promoting Jobs Express, a new Web site launched by Governor Cuomo to link New Yorkers with employment opportunities. The program also teaches marketable skills like resume writing and interview techniques to make applicants more attractive to employers.

“Jobs Express is a two-fold initiative that not only finds job openings for Western New Yorkers, but helps prepare them for their best chance at success,” said Hawley. “This is an example of government having its priorities in the right place. In tough economic times, we need to invest our limited resources in the most important issue facing our state, and that is job creation. I encourage all Western New Yorkers in search of work, or even a new opportunity, to visit the Jobs Express Web site and see what’s waiting.”
