TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the highway law, in relation to designating the "Atomic Veterans Memorial Bridge"   PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To designate a pedestrian bridge on the Taconic State Parkway within the Town of Yorktown as the "Atomic Veterans Memorial Bridge."   SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section One: Amends the highway law to designate a pedestrian bridge across the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Yorktown as the "Atomic and Nuclear Veterans Memorial Bridge." Section Two: Designates the commissioner of transportation to provide installation and maintenance of adequate signing for the bridge Section Three: This act shall take effect immediately.   JUSTIFICATION: Between 1945-1963 the United States conducted approximately 235 nuclear tests.
