Pheffer Amato Helps Rockaway Little League Play Ball

Rockaway Beach, New York This past week, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) provided hand sanitizer to Matthew Piccione, a volunteer and coordinator of the Rockaway Little League. As part of Phase 4 re-opening, the little league can begin to host games.

“As we continue to move through our phased reopening, I am so happy that the Rockaway Little League- and sports across the state- are allowed to resume games, it is a great step on the path to normalcy for families and kids,” Pheffer Amato said. “I appreciate all Matthew and all of the volunteers dedication to the little league, and I was glad to catch up with him in my office. Every little bit helps, and I’m happy to do my part to help my community return safely from the impacts of the COVID-19.”

“The Rockaway Little League is grateful to Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato for providing us with hand sanitizer, as non-profits everywhere are trying to cover the cost of coming back. Every little bit helps, and we’re excited to get the kids out playing ball and keeping the traditions of summer alive in Rockaway!” Piccione said.

Pheffer Amato will be dropping off more masks and hand sanitizer refills in the coming weeks. To request masks and hand sanitizer refills for your organization, please contact Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato’s office by phone at 718-945-9550, or by email at amatos@nyassembly.gov.
