Smullen Joins Press Conference Calling for Restaurant and Bar Hours to Resume as Normal

Assemblyman Robert Smullen (R,C,I,SAM-Meco) joined his Assembly and Senate colleagues today calling on the Majority Conferences in both houses to repeal the governor’s COVID-preventative restaurant and bar hour restrictions, citing the ridiculous double-standardpresented with the recent full re-opening of casinos, pool halls and other social sites.

“Restaurateurs and bar owners have been drastically hampered throughout this pandemic, yet the state continues to hang them out to dry,” Smullen said. “With the rest of the state starting to return to pre-pandemic standards, to continue to leave behind an entire industry is unconscionable, and the Majorities must join us to take action and reverse the governor’s disastrous policy.”
