Rozic Announces Safety Measure Along Busy Corridor

New traffic calming measure installed at Holy Family School
Implementation comes after request from Assemblywoman Rozic and community groups

Queens, NY – At the request of Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, a variable speed board is being implemented by the city Department of Transportation at Holy Family School in Fresh Meadows. The speed board will remain on 75th Avenue for approximately three weeks.

“Nothing is better than a walk around the neighborhood, and now whether crossing to school or the bus stop, it is going to be safer and more comfortable than ever,” said Assemblywoman Nily Rozic. “I thank the DOT for heeding our call to improve this corridor. I look forward to continuing to work with them, Community Boards 8, and community groups to keep making our neighborhoods safer and more livable.”

In addition to supporting Vision Zero, Assemblywoman Rozic has been a strong advocate for traffic safety measures and policies. Residents who have safety concerns or questions should contact Rozic’s office at 718-820-0241.
