Statement from Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C-Black River) on Leader Will Barclay Stepping Down as Minority Leader

“Having served in the Assembly since 2010, I have had the honor of working alongside Leader Will Barclay through many legislative sessions, challenges and transitions. Throughout that time, he has been a steady presence for our Conference and a leader who understood both the responsibilities of the role and the people he represented.

“Leader Barclay brought a strong sense of discipline, fairness, and respect for differing viewpoints to his leadership, and he never lost sight of the importance of standing up for our constituents and the principles we share. I am grateful for the years we worked together and for his commitment to the Assembly and to New York state.

“I wish him and his family nothing but the very best as he begins this next chapter.”
