Assemblyman Blankenbush Congratulates Mark Hall on Appointment as Adirondack Park Agency Chair

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C-Black River) today congratulated Mark Hall on being named the new Chair of the Adirondack Park Agency (APA). Hall, a long-time North Country leader, has spent his career balancing the protection of the Park’s natural resources with the needs of local communities.

“Mark Hall is exactly the kind of leader the Adirondack Park needs,” said Blankenbush. “I’ve worked closely with Mark for years, and I can tell you he brings unmatched knowledge, dedication and integrity to everything he does. Whether it was his time as Town of Fine Supervisor, his leadership of the Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages, or his work overseeing critical water infrastructure upgrades, Mark has always put the people of the North Country first. He understands the delicate balance between protecting our environment and promoting the sustainable economic growth our communities depend on.”

Hall has served on the APA board since 2020 and previously spent more than a decade in local government, including eight years as Town of Fine Supervisor. He has also worked extensively with regional organizations such as the Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages, the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency and the Development Authority of the North Country.

Blankenbush emphasized that Hall’s appointment will ensure North Country voices are well represented in the Park’s decision-making process.

“Mark knows the Adirondacks because he has lived, worked, and served here his entire life,” Blankenbush added. “His appointment is a win for the Park and for all the people who want to see our communities thrive while preserving one of New York’s greatest treasures.”
