Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C-Black River) congratulates the Village of Boonville for receiving the NY Forward program’s $4.5 million award. Boonville was one of several applicants in the Mohawk Valley Region in Round 7 of the $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The village's "We’re Just Up the Road'' plan aimed to transform the downtown area into an elevated tourist and resident destination. The funds will go toward several ongoing projects with the vision to improve pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, expand small business opportunities and enhance public spaces with cultural activities.
