Mikulin: One-House Budget is Not in the Best Interest of New York Families

A Statement from Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C-Bethpage) in response to the Assembly One-House Budget proposal for FY 2024-25.

“I support the restoration of funds to our educational system proposed in the Assembly One-House Budget. However, the one-house budget is still not in the overall best interest of New Yorkers. Overspending and proposing more than $3.5 billion in new taxes will inevitably push us closer to the edge of a fiscal cliff. The budget needs to prioritize relief to our residents instead of over-burdening citizens with increased taxes.”
