Assemblymember  Jodi Giglio

Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio is serving her third term in the New York State Assembly, representing the North Fork of Long Island, portions of the Town of Brookhaven, and the towns of Riverhead and Southold with dedication and purpose.

As Vice-Chair of the Minority Conference and Ranking Minority Member of the People with Disabilities Committee, she plays a key role in shaping policy and giving voice to vulnerable populations. She also serves on the Agriculture, Governmental Employees, Labor, Transportation, and Ways & Means committees, where she advocates for solutions that strengthen communities across New York.

Throughout her career, Jodi has been guided by a commitment to public service and accountability. She works diligently to ease the burdens on families, small businesses, and local governments by promoting responsible spending, supporting economic growth, and advancing policies that reflect the values of her district. Her focus is always on delivering results that improve the everyday lives of her constituents.

Her efforts extend to public safety, seniors, and veterans, where she has advanced initiatives to protect residents and expand essential services. She established the Mobile and Manufactured Home Task Force to safeguard the rights of senior residents and continues to work for stronger support systems for veterans and individuals in need of critical care.

Jodi has also been a strong advocate for preserving Long Island’s environment, farmland, and waterways. She helped protect more than 2,000 acres of farmland and 200 acres of open space, and she has championed clean water initiatives and climate resiliency programs to protect natural resources central to the East End’s economy and quality of life.

Before her election to the Assembly, Jodi served as a Riverhead Town Councilwoman for 10 years, where she introduced reforms that modernized town operations, saved taxpayers millions of dollars, and secured funding for infrastructure improvements. With a background as both a union member of Local 138 of the International Union of Operating Engineers and a successful small business owner, she brings a practical perspective that bridges public service and private enterprise.

A resident of Baiting Hollow for more than 20 years and the mother of three, Jodi remains deeply connected to her community. She represents the 2nd District with humility, honor, and an unwavering dedication to serving the people of New York State.
