Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan Secures $30,000 in Funding for Red Jacket Community Library
Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) is proud to announce that he has secured $30,000 in state funding for the Red Jacket Community Library in Manchester. This funding will support ongoing operations, enhance programming and help maintain a safe, welcoming space for residents of all ages.
The Red Jacket Community Library plays a vital role in the heart of Manchester, serving as more than just a place to borrow books. It is a hub for learning, literacy and community engagement, particularly for families and children in rural areas. With this funding, the library will be able to continue offering critical services, including early childhood literacy programs and public internet access.
“Our rural libraries are essential to the educational and personal development of our children,” said Assemblyman Gallahan. “They provide a safe space to learn, explore and grow. I am proud to support the Red Jacket Community Library and will continue fighting for the funding our libraries need to thrive.”
“We are incredibly grateful to Assemblyman Gallahan for securing this funding. This support helps us continue delivering vital services like early literacy programs and digital access while also allowing us to plan for the library’s long-term future. As we look ahead to the library’s future, this investment helps lay the groundwork for long-term stability and growth,” said Jordan Schneider, director of the Red Jacket Community Library.
Assemblyman Gallahan remains committed to securing resources that strengthen local institutions and improve the quality of life across the 131st Assembly District. He continues to advocate for increased investment in rural libraries, recognizing the critical role they play in closing opportunity gaps and fostering community development.
