Ra Announces 2026 Italian-American Conference Scholarship Opportunities Open Now

Application can be found here.

Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) is proud to announce that the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators is now accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program. These scholarships provide financial assistance to outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and community involvement. Applicants do not need to be of Italian descent to be eligible.

Applications for the Sen. James D. Conte Memorial Academic Scholarship and the Sen. John J. Marchi Memorial Athletic Scholarship are now open and will close on March 16, 2026. Each scholarship awards $3,000 to deserving students pursuing higher education. A total of four scholarships will be awarded to New York state college students or college-bound high school seniors—two academic and two athletic scholarships. Winners will be announced in April and will be invited to Albany to receive their awards at the annual Italian-American Day Celebration in May.

“Education opens doors, and these scholarships give more students the chance to walk through them,” said Ra. “The Italian-American Conference has a long tradition of supporting achievement and service, and I encourage students from all backgrounds who are working hard toward their goals to apply.”
