McDonough Announces Huge Success of Community Blood Drive

Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) announced the success of his annual blood drive held Monday at the Merrick Library. Thanks to his efforts, Long Island Blood Services was able to collect 41 pints of blood, exceeding their goal of 30 pints.

“I would like to thank everyone that came out and donated to our blood drive. Events like these have a great purpose but also allow the community to come together and give back to one another,” McDonough said. “Our local hospitals and blood banks are at an extreme deficit this time of year and every donation gives them the resources they need to help patients and victims. Remember, there are always opportunities to be a silent hero and donate blood year round. In doing so, you could be saving the life of a loved one, neighbor, family member or friend.”
