Assembly Assistant Majority Leader Charles D. Fall Honors NYPD and FDNY for Their Dedicated Service and Commitment to Staten Island

Assembly Assistant Majority Leader Charles D. Fall (D-Richmond, New York, Kings) honored first responders from the NYPD and FDNY for their devout service and commitment to Staten Island.

“It is a great privilege for me to honor our men and women in law enforcement and the fire department. The sacrifice of getting that call and having to miss your child’s birthday party or a family gathering; the sacrifice of responding to an incident or a fire and not knowing if you will make it back home. These men and women meet every challenge with courage and bravery; I am so grateful for their service. They truly embody what it means to be the finest and bravest in New York City” said Assemblyman Charles D. Fall.

“As an NYPD Chaplain and an Imam here at the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center, it’s an honor to be able to recognize our service members in the NYPD and FDNY. Our community and this center will always support our brothers and sisters in the NYPD and FDNY who sacrifice so much for our well-being” said NYPD Chaplain Imam Dr. Tahir Kukaj.

“When e-bike lithium batteries started causing destructive fires across the city, which resulted in multiple tragedies of civilians and fire fighters, the first person to call me and ask what he can do to help was Assemblyman Fall. I am so grateful for his service in the State Assembly and glad to know that we have an ally who will continue fighting for our members in the FDNY. Just recently we saw our members from Squad 8 battle a fire that injured 22 and left 3 seriously wounded. I also wanted to recognize our members from Rescue 5 who recently rescued 5 boys from the city’s sewer system after they had crawled into a tunnel.” said UFA Trustee Eric Bischoff.
