Miller Says Assembly Majority’s Budget Proposal Misses the Mark

Statement from Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,C-New Hartford) on the Assembly Majority’s One-House Budget Proposal

“The Assembly Majority’s One-House Budget Proposal would spend $6 billion more than the already out-of-control proposal of $227 billion by Governor Kathy Hochul. While there are some positives, such as increases to funding for agricultural programs and the county eFMAP appropriation of $624.1 million in funding being included, I am highly disappointed there was no effort to increase funding for our local roads and no attempt to adjust bail reform by giving judges judicial discretion. Unfortunately, the one house budget reads as a political document, instead of a budgetary document.”
