“I’m deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Chris Hunter, President of Schenectady’s miSci, Museum of Innovation and Science – a good friend and a passionate advocate for science, history, education, and our community.

Chris dedicated so much of his life to preserving and sharing the incredible history of innovation rooted here in Schenectady. He was widely respected for his knowledge of electrical and technological history and played a major role in guiding and growing miSci and its collections over the years.

I had the privilege of working closely with Chris on a number of important initiatives, including the recent efforts to renovate and strengthen the future of the museum. He was instrumental in advocating for miSci and helping secure critical funding to preserve this important institution for future generations.

His passion, leadership, and commitment to education and preserving our region’s history will leave a lasting impact on Schenectady and beyond.

My thoughts are with his family, friends, and the entire miSci community during this difficult time.”
