Assemblyman McDonough Participates In “Coats For Kids” Campaign

Assemblyman David G. McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) announced today that in association with the Neighborhood Cleaners Association he is once again participating in the “Coats for Kids” program by seeking the donation of children and adult coats. The 450 members of the Neighborhood Cleaners Association will then collect, clean and distribute these outer garments to needy individuals.

“With the cold weather fast approaching, the donation of a used coat makes it possible to provide those less fortunate with warm outer garments,” said Assemblyman McDonough. “It is my privilege to participate in this program.”

“During the four years I have participated in the “Coats for Kids” campaign, over 3,000 coats were donated and distributed to needy individuals. I am astounded by the generosity of people in our community. These donations will keep many needy people warm this winter,” said Assemblyman McDonough.

Anyone interested in making a donation can drop it off in the collection box at Assemblyman McDonough’s District Office at 3000 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, New York, until December 14. For further information, please call (516) 731-8830.
