PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
 
An act to amend the executive law, in relation to establishing an online
registry of businesses conducting electronic commerce in New York state.
 
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
 
require all businesses engaged in electronic commerce in New York State
to provide the telephone number by which to contact such business for
the submission of consumer complaints, and establish an online registry
providing such telephone numbers.
