Enacts the "electronic equipment recycling and reuse act"; relates to the
recycling, reuse and safe handling of electronic equipment sold in the state of
New York; defines terms; directs manufacturers to develop an electronic waste
management plan and submit a report; requires a manufacturer to visibly label
such electronic equipment and provide a toll-free telephone number and internet
website that consumers can access for information on how electronic equipment
can be returned for recycling or reuse free of charge to the consumer; makes
related provisions.
