NYS Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb Meets Medal of Honor Recipient

New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) (right) met Medal of Honor recipient Gary Beikirch (center) and Pastor David Underwood (left) at the Veteran's Breakfast held at the Waterloo Baptist Church on Saturday, May 30.
Beikirch, a Combat Medic in the Vietnam War, earned his Medal of Honor for going above and beyond the call of duty during the defense of Camp Dak Seang in 1970. During the battle, Beikirch ran through enemy fire and sustained multiple injuries while rescuing and treating numerous wounded troops.
