Assembly Minority Conference Scores New York's Highest Marks From Unshackle Upstate And NFIB
Conference Achieves Highest Grades for Performance on Proposals That Lower Taxes, Create Jobs and Help NY's Economy

Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua) today commended members of the Minority Conference for earning the highest rankings of any legislative conference on scorecards recently released by Unshackle Upstate and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

"All New Yorkers should pay attention to these ratings - especially this fall. With November's elections approaching, voters should be aware of which legislators and candidates are truly committed to creating jobs, lowering taxes and moving our economy in the right direction. I'm proud of the job our Conference has done and congratulate all of our members on the recognition given by Unshackle Upstate and NFIB," Leader Kolb said.

The reports generated by Unshackle Upstate and NFIB rated legislators' voting records on bills that reform New York's high-tax and unfriendly economic climate. The Assembly Minority far outpaced all legislative conferences in Albany, achieving an average rating of 87 (out of 100) from Unshackle Upstate and 88 from NFIB. Assembly Majority members earned an average ranking of 45 and 30 respectively.

Leader Kolb was New York State's highest-ranked legislative leader in each report, with scores of 89 from Unshackle and 100 from NFIB. The Assembly Minority Conference will continue to partner with Unshackle Upstate and NFIB to identify issues and advocate for legislation allowing New Yorkers to provide for their families, grow their businesses and enjoy the benefits of a thriving economy.
