New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua) along with elected officials, local business leaders and guests, celebrated the North Shore project during an announcement ceremony in Canandaigua. New York State will provide $3 million toward a plan to develop 21 acres of land along the north shore of Canandaigua Lake, which will feature residential, retail and commercial space. This expansion is expected to create 175 permanent jobs and 400 construction jobs.
