New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua) stands with Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) student Carly Shick at the Constellation Brands Scholarship Dinner on Tuesday, September 17 on the FLCC campus in Canandaigua. At the scholarship dinner, Carly was presented with the 2014 Brian M. Kolb Leadership Award.
Carly, a native of Prattsburg, NY, is a nursing student who intends to graduate from FLCC in May 2014. She is an active member of student government and currently serves as the Student Trustee on the FLCC Board of Trustees.
The Brian M. Kolb Leadership Award was established in 2013 to financially support a student leader from the Finger Lakes region in their journey to reach educational and career goals. An FLCC graduate, Leader Kolb received the college's 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award and also served on the Board of Trustees from 1998-2001.
