Johns to Help Distribute Free Masks in Webster
Saturday, May 9, 2020
As part of a concerted effort to protect constituents from contracting COVID-19, Assemblyman Mark Johns (R,C,I,Ref-Webster) is teaming up with Monroe County officials to hand out 3 million free masks to the public at events across the county. Johns will be on hand at the Webster Town Court House to safely provide residents with masks if they should need one.
Assemblyman Johns encourages the public to wear a mask in public when they cannot follow safe social distancing requirements, such as when in a grocery store or even when passing someone on a sidewalk. To ensure everyone who needs a mask but does not yet have one can get access to one, events are being held in every town in the 135th Assembly District on Saturday, May 9 and Wednesday, May 13. Both events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All masks are being provided through the county as part of the federal CARES Act. All media is invited and encouraged to attend using safe social distancing practices.
