Johns: Increased Funding For Local Roads & Bridges Is Needed, Warranted & Attainable

A Statement from Assemblyman Mark Johns (R,C,I,Ref-Webster)
March 4, 2020

“One of the most pressing needs facing the Greater Rochester Region is improved infrastructure and for the eighth consecutive year I’ve rallied with highway workers from across our state for an increase in funding for our local roads and bridges. This year, as the governor proposed a new $175 billion infrastructure plan, our modest funding increase of $150 million plus a restoration of the $65 million Extreme Winter Recovery program is certainly attainable, and after eight years it is definitely warranted. As every Monroe County resident knows, it is needed, and please know we are working hard to see that it is delivered.”
