Butler Believes More Could Have Been Accomplished With What Was Left Of Session

Statement from Assemblyman Marc W. Butler (R,C,I,Ref-Newport)
June 20, 2018

“This year’s legislative session left much to be desired in terms of accomplishments made for the people of New York. After the budget, the governor, and seemingly everyone else, resigned that all of our work was essentially done, but New Yorkers know that is not so. New York remains a hotbed of corruption, inefficiency, and waste. I, along with my Assembly Minority colleagues, offered solutions that could have easily been adopted to put an end to the governor’s crony-filled economic development programs, but the Assembly Majority shied away from doing what is right. I am proud of my life-long efforts to hold the powerful accountable and to fight for the hardworking families of New York. Now, I charge each legislator and those who come into office to do the same. In the battles won or lost, it has always been an honor and pleasure to serve my constituents here in the State Capitol.”
