of State regulations, provides information on regulatory requirements,
and attempts to expedite regulatory approval.
This Office is included in the Public Protection and General
Government appropriation bill.
State Operations
The Governor recommends a State Operations General Fund appropriation
of $3,702,000. This amount reflects a SFY 2002-03 increase of
$118,000, or 3.3 percent over SFY 2001-02, attributable to the
following:
-- a $241,000 net increase to reflect salary adjustments;
-- a $123,000 net decrease in funding associated with extending
the schedule for implementation of the Online Permit and
Licensing (OPAL) system, and elimination of 3 vacant FTE
positions.
