Eligibility: State Agencies, Counties, Cities, Towns, Villages and Private Non-Profit Groups.
Type of Program and Special Restrictions: Optional, no mandated requirements. Fees are determined
on a project basis.
Action Required to Receive Aid: A request for technical assistance must be made to the Dormitory
Authority.
Description of Aid:
The Dormitory Authority provides a broad range of design and construction services that include:
- Program and facility feasibility studies;
- Planning and program development;
- Land and property site searches, leases and acquisitions;
- Selection of architects;
- Supervision of architectural design;
- Project management services;
- Contract administration: advertising, bidding and awarding;
- Design services for renovations;
- Americans with Disabilities Act compliance review;
- Quality control inspections;
- Computer-aided facilities management;
- Auditing and cost control;
- Fulfilling minority business and affirmative action requirements;
- Interior design and equipment selection; and
- Procurement of furnishings and equipment.
