Opening up your tax bill is never a pleasant experience. From county to town, city
to school district to special district (water districts, fire districts, etc...) each sector
receives a portion of the taxes that you pay. Because of increasing spending in
Albany and throughout New York, the amount that you must pay continues to rise.

CAP PROPERTY TAXES NOW
Bipartisan support for a tax cap is growing and Gary is at the forefront of the fight.
He is currently a cosponsor of a bill that would help lower your tax bill the following
ways:
Cap total property tax levies, not individual assessments, to make certain every homeowner
and business is provided relief.
Ensure voters have the final say–any override of the tax limit must be approved by 2/3 of the
taxpayers.
Reduce the strain on local government and school budgets by requiring the state
to fund any mandate that would cost more than $10,000.
Lower County Medicaid costs by having the state pay for all optional services.
