is working hard
for our community

Dear Family:

The problems that face our community have not gone unnoticed in Albany, and especially not by me. Property taxes are soaring to an all-time high, putting a strain on our communities, local businesses and, most importantly, on you.

I am working my hardest to combat this growing problem for our local community and for you, the taxpayer. My goal is to stimulate the local economy by creating and sustaining new businesses – not by taxing property owners. New businesses create jobs, bring in new tax revenue and encourage more new businesses which, in turn, results in lower property taxes for you.

If you have any questions regarding this, or any other state matter, please do not hesitate to call me at my district office (315) 255-3045, or in Albany at (518) 455-5878.

Sincerely,
Gary D. Finch

  • He launched a communitywide petition drive to save the prison for its workers and their families.
  • He continues to fight to keep Camp Pharsalia at its current operating levels.

Lockheed Martin

  • Assemblyman Finch believes the Tioga-based Lockheed Martin plant should get the $8 billion bid to build the next generation of US101 Marine One presidential helicopters and is working toward that goal.
  • He has supported and will continue to support the bid in an effort to get 750 new jobs, which would last at least 8 years, for the Southern Tier.
Bass Pro Shop

  • Assemblyman Finch was a driving force in getting the Bass Pro Shop store in the Finger Lakes Mall.
  • The Bass Pro Shop will bring 250 new jobs to the community.
