Contribute to a Canned Food Drive to Benefit Victims of Domestic Violence
As Thanksgiving approaches, Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman is working with the Kings
County District Attorney's Office and the Family Justice Center to coordinate food donations
for domestic violence victims. Donations must be non-perishable and will be collected at
Assemblywoman Millman's district office at 341 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens. Suggested
donations include canned food, baby formula and baby food, pasta, crackers, dried fruit, cereal,
rice, dried milk and juice boxes. Additional questions about the food drive may be directed to the
Kings County District Attorney's office at 718-250-3739 or the Family Justice Center at
718-250-5083.
"I strongly encourage people to donate," stated Assemblywoman Millman. "No
matter the size of your donation, it will make a difference in someone's life. With the assistance
of the Kings County District Attorney's Office and the Family Justice Center this drive benefits
some of the most vulnerable members of our community."
