Governor Andrew Cuomo & Assemblyman Pete Lopez Announce Flood Recovery Funds For All Seven Counties Within The 127th Assembly District
A statement from Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R, C, I – Schoharie) regarding a joint press conference held today in Utica announcing matching funds for Stream Stabilization
July 13, 2012
Immediately following the floods last year, I reached out to the governor to express urgent concern for the need to stabilize the streams before they inflicted even more damage. This task has proven to be monumental and out of reach for our already devastated communities. Working with the governor, I am pleased that he has helped secure the resources needed to protect the people, farms, and businesses in the region. I cannot overemphasize how thankful we are to have the governor as an able partner in recovering from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
