Simpson Hosts Minority Tourism Task Force Event

Assemblyman Matt Simpson (R,C-Horicon) hosted fellow Assemblymember and ranking Minority member of the Tourism Committee Scott Gray (R-Watertown) as part of the Minority Tourism Task Force at the Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George.The task force has been traveling the state meeting with local Chambers of Commerce and local officials to discuss issues and methods that further support local economies. The Assemblymen sat with the Lake George Chamber of Commerce, local business leaders, local government officials, regional DEC representatives and regional Parks & Recreation leaders on Wednesday before exploring all that Lake George has to offer.

“It was a fantastic opportunity to be a part of Assemblymen Scott Gray and Brian Maher’s (R,C-Walden) Minority Tourism Task Force. This proved to be a great platform for local chambers and leaders to share their challenges but also the opportunities in their region. Lake George is a fantastic destination in our district, and I was glad to show Scott some of what we have to offer here in town,” said Simpson.

Grey said, “I enjoyed my visit to beautiful Lake George. The Holiday Inn Resort was excellent and our discussions with local leaders were robust and insightful. I want to personally thank the Crocitto family for their hospitality as well. Lake George is an incredible destination with some world-class amenities right here in the state.”
