Mikulin Invites All to Lifesaving Community Event

***Notice Of Public Event***

Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C-Bethpage) is hosting a lifesaving informational event for the public with staff from the Nassau University Medical Center at the Island Trees Public Library on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will focus on treating wounds in emergencies in order to control bleeding and save lives.

“Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of death in a trauma, but it is preventable with the right skills,” said Mikulin. “Fortunately, the staff at Nassau University Medical Center are able to share these skills with our community for free to help keep us all safer and better prepared as you never know when an emergency may strike.”

The program is open to the entire public, but teenagers may be able to receive one hour of community service credit for participating. The Island Trees Public Library is located at 38 Farmedge Road in Levittown. To sign up for this free event or for further information, please contact Assemblyman Mikulin’s office by calling (516) 228-4960 or emailing mikulinj@nyassembly.gov.
