Assemblyman Gary D. Finch (R,C,I – Springport) yesterday joined his colleagues, animal lovers and advocacy groups from across the state at “Animal Advocacy Day.” The event was held in support of animals, to protect our pets from animal abuse and to lobby for passage of the toughest animal cruelty laws in the nation.
“Studies have shown that criminals who commit horrific crimes against fellow human beings often began by abusing animals,” said Finch. “We must end the cycle before it begins, by protecting the animals that are unable to defend themselves.”
