New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF-Sag Harbor) today has announced an upcoming Montauk Highway pavement resurfacing project.

Thiele noted that the stretch of State Route 27, otherwise known as Montauk Highway, from the intersection of Stephen Hands Path east to its intersection with State Route 114 will be milled, repaired where necessary, and receive an entire new layer of pavement. New pavement markings will also be installed.

According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the project will commence by early fall, 2012, after the Labor Day holiday.
