Welcome Letter

Dear Neighbor,

Thank you for taking the time to visit the New York State Assembly website for the 97th District where you can access information, including legislation I’m sponsoring in Albany and meetings at home in the 97th District.

When I’m not in Albany, much of my time is spent working with community organizations, as well as community leaders and constituents. The conversations we have are the impetus for much of the legislation I’ve worked on over the last three legislative sessions, which you can search under the Sponsored Legislation section of the website

You can also find out about upcoming events and other news from my office.

If you need information or assistance from my office, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 845-624-4601 or jaffeee@assembly.state.ny.us.

Assemblywoman Jaffee expresses the need for legislation which requires certain parents ensure the immunization of their children against meningococcal disease. "This is not something we can take lightly. And this impacts our adolescents and young adults and even our older adults. We must take care of our communities. We must assure that our young adults, our teens are safe and cared for and so this legislation is essential for our young adults in seventh and 12th grade, for them to require to have this immunization," said Assemblywoman Jaffee.
