Assembly Member O’Donnell Commends Federal Court Decision That DOMA Unconstitutional

Today, in response to news that the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutionally denies federal rights to same-sex couples, Assembly Member Daniel O'Donnell stated:
With each court ruling such as this, our great country moves closer to equitable treatment for all citizens. I applaud the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals for their decision. Like President Obama, who decided this portion of DOMA is simply indefensible over a year ago, this court has taken a stand for justice in America, a stand that says my husband and I, alongside gay couples in all corners of our country, should be treated as full Americans.
