Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,I,C-Gowanda) is encouraging residents to submit order forms for their County Soil & Water Conservation District’s annual Conservation Tree and Shrub Seedling Program sale. Orders are due by March 31. The 2009 selection features approximately 30 varieties of trees and shrubs chosen for conservation uses and practices. Seedling combination packs and wildflower seed mixes designed to attract wildlife are available through the program. “This is a great opportunity for landowners to plant more trees, improve air quality and act as stewards of the environment,” said Giglio. “I encourage all landowners to participate and keep the Western New York landscape beautiful.” Order forms are available at Giglio’s Olean district office for pick-up or by calling (716) 373-7103 to have one mailed.
