Assemblyman McKevitt Gets Involved With Coats For Kids
October 31, 2007
The holidays are a time of sharing and remembering those who are less fortunate. Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (R,C,I – East Meadow) is reminding us that it is important to get involved in activities, such as Coats for Kids, that will provide children with warm coats for the upcoming cold months. “Whether you are a community member or a political leader, such as myself, giving back to your community is something that I truly believe in. We can all work together this year to help those around us, and ensure that everybody is healthy and warm,” McKevitt stated. Coats for Kids is a great project that collects and distributes coats to children and teenagers that need them. It provides a great way for the community to become closer and to shed light on those who need help. “Those who wish to participate can drop off any extra gently used coats that they may have to my district office which is located at: 224 Seventh Street, 2nd Floor, Garden City. We would be more than grateful for any donations that come our way.” Coats for Kids is a great project and something that has been around for many years. Just from one donation, you, too, can make a difference.
