McKevitt Sworn In as New Assemblyman for 17th District
McKevitt takes oath of office during a ceremony at the State Capitol

Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt (R,C,I-East Meadow) was recently sworn in as the new assemblyman representing the 17th Assembly District. The 17th Assembly District encompasses portions of the towns of Hempstead and North Hempstead. Joining McKevitt at the ceremony, from left to right, were his mother Patricia, wife Samantha, and Assembly Minority Leader James N. Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady-Saratoga). The Hon. Vito C. Caruso, Administrative Judge for the Fourth Judicial District administered the oath of office. McKevitt replaces Maureen O’Connell, who vacated the seat to become Nassau County Clerk.
