McDonough Announces Prostate Cancer Prevention Day

Encourages men to take part in free health screening

Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) announced he is partnering with Integrated Medical Foundation to host a Prostate Cancer Screening Day on Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Merrick Public Library, 2279 Merrick Avenue in Merrick. The event is FREE and open to any man over the age of 40 who has not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“Prostate cancer ranks among the most deadly diseases for men, and I want to make sure that the men in our community are around for years to come,” said McDonough. “This free prevention screening is a chance for local men who may not have health insurance to get tested for this deadly disease. I also want to encourage wives whose husbands may be on the fence about getting tested to urge their husbands to take part in our screening or see a doctor. Make sure your loved one is there for all the memories and encourage them to attend this free prostate cancer screening day.”

Know the facts:
