POPULATION SERVED: Adults, with an emphasis on incumbent workers
SERVICES PROVIDED: Job skills upgrading training
ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY: Jointly administered by the Department of Labor and the Empire State Development Corporation
ELIGIBLE SERVICE PROVIDERS: An employer or an employer in conjunction with a labor organization; a strategic alliance or network or association of employers with common problems or concerns; a private industry council established pursuant to the federal JTPA; or one or more local Workforce Investment Boards established pursuant to the Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA)

DESCRIPTION: STRAP seeks to fund projects designed to assist business by solving common workforce problems and upgrading worker skills required to compete in the global economy.
