POPULATION SERVED: Adults
SERVICES PROVIDED: On-the-job training and internships, job search, counseling, wage subsidy, stipend, pre-vocational skills training, literacy and English as a Second Language instruction, employability skills instruction, life skills instruction, transportation and assessment
ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY: Department of Labor
ELIGIBLE SERVICE PROVIDERS: The 33 service delivery areas and the State Office for the Aging, who may subcontract to providers of employment and training services including community-based organizations (CBOs) and local education agencies (LEAs)
SOURCE OF FUNDING: Federal
AUTHORIZATION: Federal Statute: Job Training Partnership Act, Title II Part A, §204 (d) (Public Law 97-300).
DESCRIPTION: Provides services for economically disadvantaged older workers.
