PROGRAM INFORMATION
POPULATION SERVED: Adults, in-school and out-of-school youth ages 16+
SERVICES PROVIDED: Structured worksite training coupled with related instruction

ELIGIBLE SERVICE PROVIDERS: Apprenticeship sponsors may include public and private sector employers, unions and joint apprenticeship councils.

AUTHORIZATION: State Statute: Article 23, NYS Labor Law
DESCRIPTION: Provides for the implementation, certification, and oversight of apprenticeship programs. An educational component is administered by State Education Department- see Apprenticeship-Related Supplemental Instruction Program.
