POPULATION SERVED: Adults
SERVICES PROVIDED: On-the-job training or internships, job search, counseling, wage subsidy, stipend, entry-level skills training, pre-vocational skills training, literacy and English as a Second Language instruction, employability skills instruction, life skills instruction, day care and transportation
ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY: Department of Labor
ELIGIBLE SERVICE PROVIDERS: The 33 service delivery areas in New York State who then may subcontract to providers of employment and training services, including community-based organizations, local education agencies, private employers and labor unions

AUTHORIZATION: Federal Statute: Job Training Partnership Act, Title II, Part A (Public Law 97-300)
DESCRIPTION: Provides training and employment services to economically disadvantaged adults. Funds are distributed by formula to service delivery areas.
