POPULATION SERVED: In-school youth
SERVICES PROVIDED: Counseling, pre-vocational skills training, stipends, literacy and English as a Second Language instruction, employability skills instruction, life skills instruction, and assessment

DESCRIPTION: Provides individual and group counseling to economically disadvantaged youth (14-15 years old) to define career and educational goals, enhance future employability, expand career awareness, increase school retention and provide academic credit. AVE is included in Youth Education, Employment and Training Program (YEETP).
