The Task Force on People with Disabilities and the Committee on Mental Health, Mental Retardation
and Developmental Disabilities will be hosting the New York State Assembly Legislative Disabilities
Awareness Day on Monday, May 12, 2008 in Albany. We are looking forward to a day filled
with many informative exhibits and interesting events. We also intend to pass a comprehensive
legislative package that has been crafted with a great deal of input from disability advocates.
As always, we are very excited about Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day. Please note
Monday, May 12th on your calendar and plan on spending the day with us. In upcoming weeks,
you will receive additional information that will outline the details of the day. In the meantime, if
you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact Task Force Director
Kimberly Hill at 518-455-4592.
