Speaker Heastie Joins Governor Cuomo in Announcing Ethics Reform Agreement

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie today joined Governor Andrew Cuomo in announcing an ethics reform agreement, which would establish greater disclosure requirements for legislators and a higher level of transparency to guide individuals committed to public service.

Heastie said the agreement includes reforms that will tighten the disclosure rules on the outside income of legislators, address per diem reimbursement and propose a constitutional amendment to establish pension forfeiture.
