New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I,Ref-Canandaigua) (pictured center) delivered remarks at the first meeting of the Legislature's General Budget Conference Committee, held today in the Legislative Office Building in Albany.

Leader Kolb called on his Legislative colleagues to get New York's fiscal house in order before inflicting more pain on the state's taxpayers. Stressing that the state cannot afford another "worst-of" title, it is incumbent on legislators and the governor to finalize a plan that reduces spending and taxes, offers real property tax relief for homeowners and businesses, includes greater funding for infrastructure, roads and bridges statewide and allocates additional funds for libraries.
